Default pdf viewer in Safari 2.0.1 - pgauriar_dotmac
In Adobe Reader, go to the Preferences, click on Internet, and uncheck "Display in browser using: ..." That will stop Adobe's plugin from opening the file. However, PDFs will still be loaded into your Safari window using Safari's built-in plugin. If you want to stop this from happening, quit Safari, go to the Terminal and typedefaults write com.apple.Safari WebKitOmitPDFSupport -bool YES
After you relaunch Safari, PDFs will be downloaded to your download folder, where you can open them as you see fit.

You can still select a default pdf viewer. Click on a pdf document icon (but don't double click to open it). Choose "Get Information" and then choose "Open With" (whichever viewer you want).Reply to This
