Instead of complaining that an app won't start as you describe, try repairing permissions (if you don't know how to do so, it's in Disk Utility). I've experienced this problem many, many times with various people and computers who claim that an application won't work on their computer, and only one time it was true and the developer was quick to fix it. But thanks for not giving it a one star review.
