You Gotta Love the Finder Toolbar! - nschneble

MacG5 (Xybernic): If you're gonna drag & drop files on this app because you want to move or copy your files, why don't you just drag & move/copy the the actuall folder!? This way you don't have to type the folder path. :-)

Hi! Thanks for the comments - You're right, if you just leave the applications in some miscellaneous folder, then there's no real point in navigating over to them to copy or move files, because you could just as easily just go straight to where you want to copy or move the files, right?

What really makes these apps useful though (for me) is that if they are in your Finder toolbar, you can access them from any folder. That way, anytime you want to copy or move some files, you can just drag them up to the toolbar, instead of opening another Finder window to perform a manual drag and drop. Since I've used Windows for so long, it's definitely something I find useful!

Also, I just found out that the Finder will only copy files across volumes when you try to manually move them, and the move app will actually "move" them for you, so there's an added bonus! ( kudos on the info, justinchodzko!)
