Macbert, the README during the install notes that the app remains 9.0.1, but that some of the engine components are updated, which is why the version number was incremented.

Installs version 9.0.1 - hudsonw

Read the onscreen installer notes when you install ver. 9.0.2. It says "Note: Stuffit Expander 9.0.2 differs from Stuffit Expander 9.0.1 only in certain Stuffit Engine components. The Stuffit Expander application will remain at version 9.0.1."
