I had the same experience on one of my Powerbooks, except that, after Drive Genius said that the drive couldn't be repaired, no other program could repair it and I had to erase the disk and do a reverse copy from a perfect bootable back-up copy of the now-destroyed disk. The reverse procedure worked like a charm and I'm beck to where I was---with a perfectly good disk that will not be subjected to Drive Genius again!
