nothing does it better - megabyte1

Interface may be a bit dated (OS9 looking), but it's certainly not a confusing or difficult interface. Works and looks very much like OS9 finder. There are some features on this utililty that easily make it worth the $30.
1) It has the most powerful search capabilities. Being able to search with many multiple criteria's including "Folder Parent" and "Folder Ancestor" is very powerful.

2) It scans disks VERY fast.

3) It's auto scan features work very well

4) It's finder integration is useful. When a disk is mounted drag straight out of DiskTracker window to copy data to a different volume.

I guess it depends on what you're using it for. We have over 1,000 DVD's full of data. Could DiskTracker be better ? of course. I've given a list of feature requests to the developer which I'm hoping they'll get to soon, but $30 doesn't seem like a lot to me for our uses. Oh, and I have tried ALL of the other disk cataloging programs, some of which are very good, for my $30 I like this one the best.
