The problem seems to be that the VolumeCheck utility included in FontTools.pkg is not executable. If you do the following:chmod +x PATH_TO_THE_PKG/FontTools.pkg/Contents/Resources/VolumeCheck
from the command line.
The installer will will work.

Changing the permissions on the disk check worked fine, but the installer failed at the final step, giving me a vague error and a "Please try installing again." I did, and it errored again.This package needs to go back to Apple for a redo.

Most here are aware that this is a package. Some have had success by dropping it into a folder and creating a .dmg, then mounting & installing from there. Something is up with the disk check. My situation meets all the requirements for installation, and it is not working in my case.Reply to This
