Well, hello. Seems I've been searching with the wrong keywords all this time. Thanks for the tip. This (with the exception of the protected AAC) is exactly what i've been wanting and only $7! Bless you! No more nervous moments in the car between songs getting ready to grab the volume knob to keep my speakers from blowing out! =D
