My iPod does show up on the desktop and I can copy files to it, if that's what you mean by configuring it as a firewire drive. Fwiw, the eject btn doesn't eject my iPod either, nor does the hotlink "click to play" play the selected tune. Tried quitting, removing the pref plist, but I still only see the tunes and lyrics columns. Running 10.4.1. Hmm...some "click to play" lyric links are hot (underlined in blue) and some are not -- a clue?
