But your right that it doesn't take advantage of some
OS X features like services and spotlight.

It's not Cocoa, it's Carbon. If it was Cocoa, it wouldn't run in Mac OS 9 -- and it still does.

Yes you are right. I thought I checked a couple years back thinking it was Cocoa, but it is indeed carbon.
