on my system (PB 15" 2004, 10.4) there never was any noticeable slowdown w/ TCC 1.1.2 - 1.1.4. Did you try AppleJack (newest version, still donationware) and/or DiskWarrior 3.0.3? Sometimes running multiple system utils can do more than a single fix attempt.Reply to This
