Buy out For Sell-out - russtms

While I agree that it looks like a sell-out, it's Apple doing it...to everyone. Apple wants you to only use iTunes to record your music CDs. (Of course, you can re-import those you burned with iTunes if you want, then burn them to CD using Toast or Jam...)

Blame the RIAA - Catservant

Not to be an Apple apologist, but I don't think you can rightly lay this at the feet of Apple. Knowing the RIAA, I'm sure Apple had to make lots of assurances to the record companies to keep a tight rein on the music purchased from iTMS.

Let me ask a question: Would you rather be prevented from burning iTMS music in Toast or face the possibility of iTMS ceasing to exist?
