Anyone who knew what they were talking about would give a reason, and not make a totally groundless and useless statement. I'm sure my 18 years of computer support experience pales in comparison to the volumes of knowledge you command. You may want to go to one of Apple's Genius Bars and tell them they don't know what they're talking about since they use and suggest it too.

Incessant "pissing wars" only hurt all three parties involved, proving nothing more than, "Danger will Robinson — Yellow Snow!"

Regardless of how elegant a solution may be, the obvious question still remains, "Did it solve the problem?" Variants [to this] are merely individualistic and only impose topical ego-threats.

In lieu of the "Ford vs Chevy" kluge-crap; a collegial understanding produces inexorable benefits for all.
