Are you using the sync stats feature on Mobster or uploading your XML? Syncing stats should be very quick even with large libraries.

do you have a few friends that also have a more eclectic music collection? Friends that also listen to a lot of non-mainstream music? My suggestion.. you and your friends come in and take over. Upload your weird oddball music list. Throw a curveball at the recommendations that it gives back.
