Bloated and sluggish - langstraad
Blazingly fast. No sluggishness here. Many people can't even follow what I'm doing when I'm manipulating stuff with QuickSilver 'cause it rocks so hard. 1.0GHz Titanium PowerBook.Thursday, April 21 2005 @ 11:49 AM PDT
Bloated and sluggish - wdouglas
I just have to say that I agree completely. In fact, I too have gone back to LaunchBar. I'm not saying that Quicksilver isn't good, it just isn't as good. For me it was the poor heuristics that drove me back to LaunchBar. I kept on having iDVD come up when pressing the keys "D,V,D". Each time I would manually go down and select the DVD Player app but Quicksilver never remembered my choice. Oh well, but don't get me wrong, I still like Quicksilver and recommend it to everyone who wants to try out a free launcher. Oh, it's also 100 times better then Spotlight for app launching.Saturday, April 30 2005 @ 12:53 PM PDT
Bloated and sluggish - ms-apple
First, I have same PB as well, and have no sluggishness at all. You really might want to find out what else may be causing or contributing to this.Second, QS can be configured with multiple interfaces, some which have very little graphics. And QS can also be configured to use more or less resource intensive rendering. It's all there.
Fnally, the new plug-in system allows you to load only what you want, keeping the memory footprint smaller.
