Me too - Safari just won't launch at all. I don't use IE but Firefox appears OK.

Remove Acid Search in /library/appsupport/SIMBL/Plugins. (That is if you have Acid Search in Safari. It helped me.

Safari anf IE - StimpSoft VT Spy

Removing the AcidSearch plugin at ~/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/AcidSearch.bundle fixed the issue of Safari crashing for me.
