Wake up and smell the illiteracy yourself: TeX is the standard (for 20 years or so) ascii rendering for Knuth's typesetting system. TeX4ht is for TeX to html conversion; it's a standard part of the current TeX distributions.

Wow -- the comment by "dsheehy" is a shockingly ill-informed. "tex4ht" is the underlying unix command name; "TeX" is the common representation of Kunth's typesetting system, and in widespread use. This software is certainly not meant for someone who does not already know this information, as such a person is unlike to have any familiarity with (La)TeX -- and this app is pointless without a TeX file to convert.

"Supports illiteracy"? You must be joking!
