Application Monitor does too much sometimes for most people's needs. When all you want is a simple CPU monitor and not all the rest of that monitoring going on, who needs to waste all that processor time on monitoring? Application Monitor wastes up to >20% of my CPU on a G3. iCPU wasted less than 3% max... That's the point.
