Just some additional info -- the folks at Mindola have already contacted me, so they are being very responsive. :) Basically I'm just posting here to let people know they should be careful and back up their work, just in case. But I'm sure this will all be fixed soon. :)

Selecting "Cut" from the Edit menu will remove the currently displayed element from the project and place it in the system clipboard.
