I haven't installed 1.0.0.0 yet (why so many .0's?), but if it gives you the option during setup, that's better than nothing, but still not perfect, as long as the default is for it to be on.
When I installed whatever ridiculous version number it was that I installed, I did not get a setup option. Maybe this was because I was replacing a previous version, that also did not have it. Either way, my point is valid. Companies need to stop assuming that they know what's best for users. I probably can't even count how many people I know who have AIM running on their PCs and have no clue how to shut it down. Sometimes other people's screen names are signing on and they don't even realize it. Does Skype want to be better than that? If they intend to gain Mac users, I sure hope so.
