Not so. By your logic, I could make a boat, a bicycle, and an aeroplane called Ford or Saab or Audi and all would be okay. Not so. A work mark can infringe on another mark (in this case, a registered mark) if it confuses. As importantly, if the mark confuses and is applied to a similar application, it infringes. Why do you think Apple Computer and Apple Records are debating this topic as you and I correspond?

Another application posted here has the same problem. It was called eFax Cocoa or some such dribble. The developer eventually had to change the name when the eFax attorneys prevailed on him and argued that his software name infringed on a service by the same name.

It is better for Font Safari guy to change it now rather than latter. The sooner the better in trademark land.
