Removing the ad is a simple process. Go to GarageSale > Preferences > Templates, and either: 1) deselect "Include Footer in Item Description", or
2) remove the HTML code in the text field for "Include Footer in Item Description" ... or 3) create your own ad or logo and put it in the footer.

Angers me as well. Tell them you will accept the promo only if you get a cut of their advertising budget. Only fair don't you think?
