I notice that you've posted this exact same comment over at MacUpdate. What concerns me is that you've made no attempt to contact me (the developer) directly to report an issue you claim to be a 'bug'. I am easily reached using contact methods on my web site and in the documentation.
For the record, there is no code in Yasu that would do any kind of harm to the association between .dmg files and Disk Utility. A quick look at the help file will show that to be the case, since all shell scripts used in Yasu are listed there.
Out of the many who have downloaded and use Yasu regularly, you are the ONLY individual to make mention of .dmg disk image application-to-file association troubles. With that in mind, my many years of Mac support would point more toward a problem with your system being the culprit. I suggest running DiskWarrior, TechTool Pro, or even the Disk Utility from the OS X install CD on your system if you have access to them. If the problem persists after that, then please contact me directly so I can begin working on a solution.
In the future, consider reporting issues you feel are potential 'bugs' directly to the developer of the product. I know first hand that most software authors put an immense amount of effort into their work, and would take a bug report seriously. I sure do.
Finally, as for the 'Trusted application' flag reset issue both you and the commenter before mention, I totally agree, and have already taken that suggestion to heart (as replied to in the previous comment). Work has begun on a complete rewrite of Yasu that will allow that option to be skipped. The new version should be ready for release before the end of January.
