Obsession? - Anubis IV

Actually, it's not so much an obsession for Mac users as it is for Windows users since they actually DO have a valid and good reason for defragging often. Since there have been enough switchers over the years though, they've naturally brought their practices over, and at one time there were tangible benefits to defragging a Mac as well, but now no one can really provide solid data one way or the other, except for users that deal with particularly large files (i.e. people that edit movies, large audio tracks, large images, etc.). If you deal with large media files, defragging is probably a good idea...besides that though, it's kinda hazy.

I suppose there are those who are obsessed though, even in the Mac community. After all, isn't everyone always hungry for a more powerful computer, even if they already have the best one?
