Pathetic e-mail program - Jeff Mincey
Thanks for this contribution -- it is very helpful. However, to have to go to such lengths for the modest goal of changing the default font size is preposterous and, yes, inexcusable for a mature product in a mature genre of software.Wednesday, November 24 2004 @ 10:54 AM PST

Hopefuily you will find this method more "elegant" as it only requires a couple of mouse clicks to obtain the desired result.Wednesday, November 24 2004 @ 12:03 PM PST

To increase the default font size in Notes 6, perform the following steps:1. Download the Notes Preferences Editor from ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/software/lotus/tools/notes/Notes_PrefEditMac.zip and open it.
2. Make sure Notes is closed.
3. It will ask for the Notes Preferences file. This is located under /Users/[username]/Library/Preferences.
4. Once this is opened, choose Add from the Item menu. You may get an error -108 when you do this. If this happens, double-click on the Bluetooth-Modem property, since you probably won't be needing that one.
5. In the Name field, enter Display_font_adjustment
6. In the Value field, enter any positive integer. This will tell Notes by how much to increase the default font value. Try starting with 4.
7. Click OK, then quit the Editor and save the file.
8. Open Notes. If the font size is not to your liking, go back and edit in a larger or smaller value.
