Thanks for a wonderful reply with lots of insight on why you like to use the program.

Before I comment further I thought I would like to clarify my comments because it appears I offended you. That was not my intention.

I am the kind of person who needs to get a lot of information about something before I fully commit to making it part of my 'regimen'. I like you are no expert in the terminal. I only started working with it about a year ago. I just find all the software that is flying around and all the terminal commands daunting to say the least.

Perhaps it would have been better if I had directed the post to Terminal Experts and Power Users who manage labs or large groups of computers.

In any event there have been lots of responses to the post and I thank you all for you insights. This is the greatest board!
