One correction: I hadn't tried Audacity, just Amadeus II. (The latest stable Audacity doesn't have AU support. I'll try the CVS version.) It seems to work in GarageBand, except it doesn't remember its registration info. And if you click "cancel" on the registration dialog upon launching GarageBand, you just get the same dialog back. So it's still unacceptable.

It seems to work with both Rax and GarageBand. As for the registration problem, I had that too at first. I'd installed it with my admin account and was using it from my regular account. Since I switched to my admin account and registered it there, it hasn't asked for the registration code again (including when I use it from my regular account). Looks like a permissions thing.
