A lot of consumers tend to believe that a game isn't worth it's development price if the graphics don't over utilyze the latest graphic technologies. Most of these small company games are the labour of 1 developer not ekeing out much of a profit. To compare a poker sim to a major manufacturer title is unfair to the product and the industry.
I'd far rather purchase one developers unpolished labour of love than some overblown EA product delivered for the same price because the development army was driven into the ground by poor management.
