Yeah, the Melissa Virus. It's a macro virus for Microsoft Word/Microsoft Office... yeah, go figure, Microsoft stuff. But it can use macs to propogate itself if they have Microsoft Word, macros enabled, and open an infected document.

Personally, I use OpenOffice. Screw macro viruses.

Been to the McAffee site recently? They have one page for Mac products, and clicking any link on that page related to support or downloads goes to a PC-only page. This software and company is a joke.

Switch to something with more emphasis on functionality and form than weasling users into a false sense of security just because it bears the name McAffee (Virex).

clamAV is a unix anti-virus package... recently there has been a Mac OS X GUI tool for managing clamAV... http://www.markallan.co.uk/software.php?page=clam
