The NilObject thing is a RealBasic thing, but it's not RealBasic's fault, unless you consider that making programming so easy and effortless for wannabe programmers is a crime. Well maybe it is, and maybe they get spoiled by this easiness and ignore beta testing and error checking.
Even in Applescript, you still need to have an On Error event, and be able to handle it somehow.
This error can be avoided all together without crashing the app, but I won't do the programmer's homwork for him. Better luck next time.
