TOO MUCH $$$ - macalterego

A true media pro would know not to attempt to evaluate a product he isn't really familiar with. The differences between MM1.5 and MMP2.x are dramatic. Photoshop can't organize media like this can. Neither can iPhoto, of course. Canon's products are rated poor for a good reason. Yes there are other products out there, mostly specific to photo management, which isn't what IVMP is strictly about. For photo pros this isn't the best or only solution. But for media/graphics professionals, IVMP offers a lot for the money, IMO. With over 1.5 Terrabytes of graphic archives and nearly 500,000 files to account for (no, not all in a single catalog), I haven't had any serious problems with IVMP 2.x; it's speed improvements were a godsend.

TOO MUCH $$$ - kishina

jsmcpheeters, in your opinion what are some of the better photo focused image managers? I've used both Portfolio (slow and unwieldly) and Cumulus (powerful, expensive, complicated), both seem better suited for large organizations rather than for the use of a few photographers working together in a studio.
