What does it say about someone who downloads a beta, sees a problem, and instead of using one of the many easy options to report it to the developer so it can be fixed, goes onto VersionTracker to warn people to avoid the product?
As for the Erase Unused Space warning, the potential consequences of not following that warning are pretty serious and outside of File Buddy's control, so take it seriously. As for it being a nag, well, there's no reason to erase unused space on a regular basis (it doesn't improve performance or fix any problems), so no reasonable person could call it a nag. Put that warning in the User Guide? Well, first of all, it will be in the User Guide when it's available, but currently the UG for File Buddy 8 isn't available, so that's not a very realistic alternative, is it? Besides, most people, especially users of previous versions of the program, don't read much of the UG, and hence would never see it there. And one star because File Buddy doesn't want you to hurt yourself? *sigh*
AussieRick, comments like yours hurt everyone: developers, by steering people away from their products; users, because instead of helping to get bugs fixed you just come here and whine; and even VersionTracker by reducing the overall usefulness of posted feedback. Stop hurting and start helping by reporting problems you find so they can be fixed.
