Cautious Recommendation - jscotta44_1
If it is okay with this comment board's policy, I'll suggest you take a look at DayLite from Marketcircle. It is a great solution and may have what you are seeking. I am cautious in my recommendation because there is no information on your needs beyond a desire for stability and a database that isn't corrupting unexplainably.Thursday, August 19 2004 @ 07:26 AM PDT
I can no longer recommend NUTD - yuri1419
My office has also been using NUTD since the 3.x area, and has found the upgrades to OS X versions to be painful at least. Worst event was when I moved my server from OS9 to my OS X.2 Server and NUTD 4.5.2. My initial tests worked fine, but once I let the whole office at it, I had crashes, freezes and data loss left and right. That means angry users who don't see the software as failing to do it's job, they see ME as failing to do my job. I can't take that risk. Calendars are holy to some of my staff, and when it's not a working calendar, I get holy hell. A downgrade to 4.5.1 made it somewhat stable, but I still have to force-quit the server every 10-14 days on average.I'm hoping the 4.5.3 upgrade will be a solution, but after the last disaster, I'm nervous about it.....

DB Corrupted or server stops responding - fchieli
We use NUTD in an network environment with 40 clients and one server. We've used it since version 3.1. The Event Server was perfect in version 3 (up for 2 consecutive years). Version 4.5.x is a disaster , the server corrupts the database or stops responding and , worst of all , events are rendomly dropped!Nowsoft is aware of the problem and can't suggest what to do nor guarantee the integrity of data (their tech support words) until version 4.5.3 comes out. They had me recreating a new database from scratch and then , when that failed to produce any results , told me that that's the way it is , sometimes their server misbehaves...I've waisted too much and could loose my job because of this. Anyone knows of any alternative that doesn't involve a MS Exchange Server ?
