excellent as always - Jeff Mincey

The product (and correct spelling) you speak of is Acqlite.

Acqlite is based on open source code. I can understand your rash rationalizations however, it supports one side of the argument only, because I am sure you are partial to Acquisition.

To have a truly parallel argument...

You assume because they have put less effort and time into it that it is not a worthwhile product. Presumably the author of Acqlite (free) has put less work into that program than the author of Acquisition. But the authors of the source code (Limewire) that both powers the heart of both programs has put in even more hours, days, and years. Based on your train of thought LimeWire should be the program we all support and kick Acqlite and Acquisition to the curb, except that... we don't.

Perhaps the other users with differing opinions from yours are not the ones that are ignorant.

of course it is entirely possible he meant actual ignorant reviews based on the developer's personality, instead of the actual product. i don't think he's calling users of acqlite ignorant.

a JERK, as always - Soul of Wit

I'm sorry, but reviews of customer support are valid. The developer is not user friendly. Many users will never have any reason to contact the developer. That fact, however, does NOT make reviewers of such contact ignorant.
