Actually the price is not that bad. However products like Silverfast that do support my scanner, vuescan does not, are nearly the same price.
I think Vuescan is an amazing program but it does have a tough run against the "biggies", even a price of 49.95 would spur more sales. 29.95 would have sway some pirates to buy it.
