Regarding how you would know about Backup 2.01, you should have received an email regarding it, as I did. Perhaps you unsubscribed from that email list, or never subscribed in the first place. It is really worth being on that email list to take advantage of the freebies .Mac Subscribers get from time to time. I use Sticky Brain every day, which was free for .Mac Subscribers, but only for a limited time. So sign up for that list! I use all the features of .Mac and I think it is worth more than $100 a year. But it you only use one or two features, it probably is not worth it to you.
