Undo now functions beyond the last Save. - tbbender

Hi!

There are no new caches involved and the undo/redo stack is very efficient, so I don't see a downside. You can still do a "Revert" to the last saved version.

I had several letters from annoyed users on this subject over the past few months, and none of us could come up with a reason not to allow this ability. If you think of one, please let me know at: tombb@aol.com

Thank you,
Tom

Undo now functions beyond the last Save. - eobrien

Perhaps the orginal poster is thinking that "beyond the last Save" includes closing a file? Instead, I'm guessing it means that the Undo buffer remains intact through a Save. Programs often empty the Undo buffer as part of the Save process. In those programs, if you make a change, Save, then immediately realize you did not want to make that change... too bad: "Undo" is not available.
