When I say it will take a long time to back up 27 GB, it needs to be noted that I didn't have any prior tape backup experience. What I meant was that, coming from a background of backing up to a firewire hard drive, and given that my test backups with the limited demo version "felt" fast, I was somewhat taken aback when I saw that a 27 GB backup was going to take several hours to backup and the same to verify.
