The stupidity of some people here amazes me - JimSnider
If all you're doing is downloading files then there is next to no chance for getting sued by the RIAA, I agree. What they're looking for is people who are sharing "significant" numbers of files, although the media widely reports that there is no indication of what number of files they consider to be "significant." And I think it's a bit caustic to call people stupid for urging caution in the wake of the RIAA's repeated threats. They've supposedly sent out nearly a thousand subpoenas, and have stated that they expect to begin filing lawsuits as early as mid-August. So far they appear to concentrating their efforts exclusively on Kazaa users, so Gnutella users seem to be safe... for the time being.Wednesday, July 30 2003 @ 05:24 AM PDT

Amazed by Stupidity - LeonardShelby
"The stupidity of some people here amazes me." Really...? You're stupidity doesn't amaze me, but is rather trite and common.Monday, August 04 2003 @ 10:53 AM PDT
Well, not quite... - Jeff Mincey
I take the spirit behind your point, but the odds of winning the jackpot of the Powerball lottery are one in approximately 120,000,000. So unless the RIAA plans to sue no more than two American adults (allowing for a population of minors under age 18), I think you miscalculated on that particular example.Reply to This
