DJN-ONE, you are right; malaria does kill more than SARS does. However, we know how it is spread, what it does exactly, and how to treat. You can't say the same for SARS. And no, you don't "need" this program in your menu bar. Nor do you "need" the Volume menu item, the clock menu item, or any other menu item. But most of us "want" these things in our menu bar. Don't be so biased.
