Since my last post I've tried additional firewalls (Outpost, Tiny, Sygate) and have always returned to ZoneAlarm as the best solution. It is solid, reliable, configurable, and effective.
Regarding some of the posts referring to OS X, I just have to say: "Huh?" Oo
