Existing users, 
I paid $50 less than a year ago to upgrade to version 4, and $80 for version 3. Though I do prefer Parallels Desktop over the other options out there, I find it ridiculous and somewhat insulting that they'll charge $50 for the upgrade. Honestly version 4 is working just fine and does all that I need, I too would be willing to upgrade to version 5 for no more than $30.
Anyone want to start a petition so that Parallels can understand that they're charging way too much for a performance revision? We paid only $30 for Apple's performance revision (Snow Leopard) and got a whole lot more out of it.
Let me know any I'll look into that online petition thing.

I purchased Parallels 1 for about $80. It was worthless. Parallels 2 upgrade for about $40 (ok at best). Parallels 3 upgrade for about $40 (worked).Side graded to VMWare 1 (ok at best) for $20. Upgraded to VMWare 2 for free and never thought about the upgrade to Parallels 4 for $50. I will pay for the upgrade to VMWare 3 as I have barely given them money compared to Parallels.
