There appears to be no 64-bit version of 1.0.3, only Universal Binary, 32-bit Intel and PowerPC packages but no 64-bit version in their list.
I kept the Intel version 1.0.3 because it differed from the UB version by about 40MB.
I'm not 'town crying' like Liberty4all about there being no 64-bit version and I would definitely recommend VLC, but I find it odd that the last version had a 64-bit rendition and there is none now.

64-bit 1.0.2 but no 64-bit 1.0.3? - Paradoxial
Looking on the forums, it looks like there was a lot of 64-bit bugs that they wanted to iron out first, so they're not releasing it again in 64 until they get it cleaned up.I know it seemed to work a lot better on HD over HDMI video, so I'll have to test 1.0.3 and see if that was thanks to 64bit (in which case I'll revert to 1.0.2) or if it works fine as a 32bit process.

If you're ADAMANT about having the 64-bit version, personally I am not, and you might have overwritten your 64-bit 1.0.2 install here is the direct download link; http://download.videolan.org/pub/videolan/vlc/1.0.2/macosx/vlc-1.0.2-intel64.dmgReply to This
