If they are looking for Beta testers they should just say so. Pretending this is a release, however, is a joke. Wake me up a year from now when they get all the bugs out. Considering they CLAIM to have been working on this forever, (and have been using this claim as a marketing tool) I am surprised it is still basic Beta.

Users being Beta Testers - dteare

I'm sorry for the confusion, but the VersionTracker admins decided they wanted to publish the 1Password 3 beta on their site. We elected not to post the beta here because we thought users may get upset, but the admins decided otherwise. If you feel strongly the beta should not be listed, please let the VersionTracker admins know.

As for being in development for over a year, there is no stretching of the truth there. Take a peek at the What's New in 1Password 3 document and you'll see why it took so long:

We could have easily released 6 months earlier if we decided to eliminate 1/2 these features :)

Cheers!

It says "BETA" right there in the headline. What's your problem, exactly?

Ditto,
It DOES say BETA in the title. Which means its work in progress.
If you don't like the beta up dates DON'T USE BETA versions. Easy.

Change your user name to Brass Balls because that's what you have. You admit you never tried it but then you say you don't recommend it. Duh!

It's Beta, it says so and still you have to give a negative response, never having tried it.
