I got as far as reading the fine print in the installer, then trashed it right away when I found that CNET stores the results of its scan of my system on its servers. Since they're based in the US and thus subject to the Patriot Act, I'm not giving them anything, just on principle.

Absolutely on target, Mike! Any country that has anything called The Patriot Act isn't worth the paper its Constitution or Bill of Rights was written on.
