Existing users, 
1. After using VT Pro for 4+ years, I read that it will be replaced by a piece of junk called TechTracker. Oh, goody.
2. After trying out the new MacUpdate Desktop 5.0 this afternoon and:
a. having it find a lot more out-of-date software than VT Pro
b. discovering that it costs $20/year for up to 5 Macs
I think it is time to say farewell (and not fondly) to VersionTracker and VT Pro.
It is sad to see what CBS has done to this once great and very useful product.

Is it really dead? Where did you read that?I absolutely agree that it is a shame that they don't continue development. I have been using VT for so many years and paid a lot of money for the Pro license for 10 Macs.
The software is so old and hasn't been updated for 1,5 years.
I also agree that MacUpdate 5 is great. I have been beta testing it for the last couple of months.
I will definitely not renew my VT membership again and avoid this site.
