I had to reinstall Adobe Acrobat CS4 and then run all the previous updates to get this one to work. I think the problem was that I removed foreign language support from the programs in my Applications folder to save some space. This time around I didn't apply the language kit update to Acrobat. Hopefully this approach will avoid the problem in the future.
