Genius has got to be the most over-rated and *useless* feature ever to grace an Apple computer. Really. I don't know who would really be impressed. Period.
It just isn't worth any of my time and energy. Yes, I'm a music fan. Yes, I'm open-minded.
Yes, it sounded good --- the concept and idea. But, when it comes right down to it --- where the "rubber meets the road" --- Genius is an idiot.
If you're easily impressed and have relatively "Simpleton" tastes when it comes to music, you just might find something useful about it. I tried it.
It's now permanently turned off in Preferences and there is no sign of it on *my* computer except for the wasted space the Code Bloat takes up on my HDD. Resource and Bandwidth Hog. Time waster.
8.2.1 was leaner and meaner and *more* functional.

OK, but does iTunes really deserve a one-star rating simply because you don't like Genius? Are you saying that the entire program deserves a one-star rating?C'mon: use the stars to help others as they try to get a sense of the value of the application, not just as a way of registering your pet peeves.
