When iToner works, it is very nice, but every iPhone upgrade deletes all the ringtones, and every iToner upgrade locks up and requires several rebootings. Even then this latest upgrade doesn't seem to even allow downloads from iToner. This software needs someone to fix all the bugs.

Have you contacted Ambrosia tech support (help[at]AmbrosiaSW.com) with your troubles?
In testing here, updating to the latest version of both the iPhone software and iTunes didn't cause any problems. However, we have heard from a few users who experienced loss of their ringtones. We'd love to work with you, and anyone else who has had this problem, to find out what causes ringtones to be lost in those particular cases.
We are working on a new method for syncing ringtones that should prove to be more stable with updates to iTunes and the iPhone software.
