I put this in the Feedback form.
1. Is this supposed to replace VersionTracker Pro?
2. It does not tell me where the software is on my Mac as VersionTracker does.
3. It does not have "skip this version" at VT does.
4. I don't see the options of download or download/install as VT offers.
5. When I click on download, I am taken to the Cnet site instead of the software downloading. So, now I have 1 or 2 extra steps compared with VT.
6. When I arrive at a download page on the Cnet website I see adverts for Windows software. For example, IE8 which definitely does not run under Mac OS X.
7. Not ready for prime time.

Thank you for taking the time to take a look at CNET TechTracker app.1. Is this supposed to replace VersionTracker Pro?
Reply: CNET TechTracker app is not intended to replace VersionTracker Pro at this time. It is a free application that is still in beta.
2. It does not tell me where the software is on my Mac as VersionTracker does.
Reply: This is something we may include in TechTracker app in the future.
3. It does not have "skip this version" at VT does.
Reply: We are working on incorporating this function into a TechTracker app release due out before the end of the year.
4. I don't see the options of download or download/install as VT offers.
Reply: This is something we may include in TechTracker app in the future.
5. When I click on download, I am taken to the Cnet site instead of the software downloading. So, now I have 1 or 2 extra steps compared with VT.
Reply: This is probably a browser preference. On the TechTracker app My Software tab | Status column, clicking on Download Now for those software applications CNET has a file for should immediately start a download. Yes, there is a redirect to another CNET page, however, the download starts immediately.
6. When I arrive at a download page on the Cnet website I see adverts for Windows software. For example, IE8 which definitely does not run under Mac OS X.
Reply: This is something we are actively working on to change.
7. Not ready for prime time.
Reply: Your comment being a VT Pro user is understandable. Thanks again for taking the time to look at TechTracker app.
